In the beginning, we planned to pick an ad blocker (i.e. Adblock). We revealed that many ad blockers do not have the function of changing the content of the ads. Rather, the ad blockers mainly detect the ads and hide them away from the website, so the information of ads is not used. For example, we need to know the dimensions of the orginal ads, where keywords could be shown. Consequently, Chrome extensions with ads swapping function (i.e. Ad Replacer and Portfolio Banners) are found as essential references for our project.
